ALLEGIANCE INFO

Oath of Eorl
The name "Oath of Eorl" was borrowed from the master of fantasy himself, Professor John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. In other words, it is a part of the Lord of the Rings Universe. The following is an excerpt from The Tolkien Companion:

"The name given in Rohan to the formal declaration of allegiance made in the year 2510 Third Age by Eorl the Young (last Lord of Eotheod and later the first King of Rohan) to Cirion, twelfth Ruling Steward of Gondor. The Oath bound the Riders of Eotheod to aid the Dunedain at times of need; in return they were granted, in perpetuity, the former province of Calenardhon (Rohan). These reciprocal pledges formed the only substance behind the unshakeable alliance between the two peoples, yet the Oath was valiantly fulfilled several times over the ensuing five hundred years; and as a result both the Rohirrim and the Men of Gondor survived the turmoils of the Third Age and saw their pledges renewed in the Fourth Age which followed the overthrow of Sauron."

Lore aside, the Oath of Eorl is an allegiance based on two important principles - honor and respect. Members are encouraged to help others in need and are always ready to defend their own honor, while respecting others'. This allegiance is also basically a group of people, headed by me - Etrel, who enjoy getting vitae and having fun =)

'Da Rules
There shall be no thieving and no kill stealing. If I receive any notice of members performing these deeds, I will have a serious talk with them. Dismissal from the allegiance is possible. That's about it for the rules - the basic gyst is, respect the people around you! Otherwise, have fun!! =)

Player Killing Policy
There is no formal policy as of yet. I do not think any of our members are currently PK. If you decide to go PK, stick by the No-Loot rule. Ask for more intricate details.
